INFORMATION About Your RESEARCH PAPER
In Social Studies, your child has selected the topic _____________________.
He\she is to write a research paper and make a poster
illustrating their topic. The paper is to be at least 360 words
long. It may be handwritten or typed.
Additional page requirements are the following:;
Typed;
Left and Right Margin; 1 inch margins (set at 1 and 6 inches
Header and Footer; 1 inch each
Font;
Type; Ariel
Size; 14
Double spacing
Handwritten reports must be;
Front pages only
Blue or Black Ink (no pencils)
At least 360 words long.
Neatly written.
We will spend Tuesday and Thursday in the Computer Lab accessing
my Egyptian Web Page. This Web page may also be accessed at home
via the Internet, but is not mandatory for a good grade! On Wednesday we
will be in the classroom using library books and other resources for research.
Thursday will be the last day students will be given class time
to research. I encourage the students to use the tools made available
to them in order to research more areas than the minimum requirement. The
Research paper and the poster are due on Friday, October 15.
Students may not turn in any information copied directly from
the computer, and they may not use any copied items on their posters. They
must have a Cover Page, and a list of the resources used;

He/she is to make a poster illustrating his/her topic. I encourage
originality and creativity. The only restrictions are as follows;
The poster must be related in some way to their topic
The poster must be on a Standard sized Poster Board.
